Crickets are THE next-generation protein!
By 2050, the global population is expected to reach 9 billion people. If we continue eating the way we do in North America, we will not be able to feed everyone. Currently, the livestock industry is using up 30% of the Earth's landmass. By converting to entomophagy (the practice of eating insects), the land freed up could be used to grow more food for more people.
In addition to a higher protein content, crickets offer less fat and more fibre, iron, calcium, and Omega-3 than meat.
